I just loved the commercials for Ayds!

When I was a kid, I just loved the commercials for Ayds. And i'm not talking about the deadly disease, I am talking about the appetite-suppressant candy that was available in chocolate, butterscotch, caramel and peanut butter flavors. It was a hot item and enjoyed strong sales in the 1970s and early 1980s. Watching the commercials 25 years later is so fun! I didn't realize how campy there were! When I was a kid, even though I was skinny as a toothpick, I wanted to eat those appetite-suppressant candies so bad! They looked so delicious on my old black and white tv. I always felt bad for the company when the disease, AIDS reared its ugly head, of all the names for a disease to be named. What rotten luck! No offense, no wonder nobody including me, wanted to buy it after that! I bet you drug companies that make appetite-suppressants like Hoodia hope that if another deadly disease rears its ugly head, that it's not named Hoodia.
